so lets get started!
the white hat thinking. meaning the positive thought or opinion over one issue.
1. the restriction of kinship between man and woman
I like the function of 'halal bag', the fact that mira filzah herself said ben amir and sean lee at most time respect her by not having skinship nor touch her. Which i believe can be seen by all audience. As i mention in my Instagram post, i don't like how many dramas actually normalized the kinship between man and woman just because they are 'married' in that drama.
2. the drama is soo beautiful
even if you are a hater, you can't deny that the drama looks very beautiful. from the promotion or trailer video and photo, the usual KL popular spots until the style of the character, all of them are beautiful. so credit to the visual editor ,photographer and cameraman.
3. the interesting script and catchphrase
To be honest, i am hooked to this drama because of cempaka's catchphrase "Baguslah, kita dapat seorang bisu seorang buta. Haa tepukkk".
Talking about the script, i like how they show the family bond and love not in a typical way. I mean other drama would show a 'happy family' type as a kind soft heart parent who never get angry and always positive, and children that so obedient and never misbehaved.
but in reality, every family have a flaw. and the kind of family that we see as broken family sometimes have their own version of happiness. lola is a tough mother who always shouts at her children, belittle them but at most time she is the most protective mother i ever seen on television.
4. Sweet dreams is like an experimental religion genre drama from michael ang. I like how he throw the current issue of being a muslim not necessary being a malay, can a non muslim go to visit muslim cemmentary, the power of doa and such from the character of uncle wong. From character of tuan fadil, i am really affected by his advise to putri that whatever situation or decision she make, she must respect her mother and not neglecting her.
5. And of course the ending. For the first ending, it is more realistic and therefore it make me depress. Yes, mira filzah has a point that she said putri should be dead a long time ago, so that ending would prove that no human can defeat Allah swt fate. It is sad but realistic ending. And make me realise no use to dating before marriage if you dont want to be depress like all audience. Pftt.
And michael ang also said that if one is given an ill-fated, he or she mostly would think more about his or her life in a wise way. Admit it how many would be grateful with Allah's gift and how many would turn onto Him when facing obstacle or sad situation.
6. The ost is the best thing that happen in this drama. All of them is the best.
I raise my case. Lets have the black hat thinking
1. Still, i am quit unsatisfied with the ikhtilat between putri and qash. Yes,they not having skinship but zina can happen as easy as look into the eye, whispering to each other ear, showing a cute and manja face. Some scene i found quite distracting as if i am ben amir, i would fall in love easily with mira filzah for her cuteness. Being cute is not a crime but dont overdo it. You never know how a man thought when you acting cute like that. To be safe, just dont act cute in front of ajnabi, save if after marriage.
2. I read one of the comment on youtube, saying that he worried that the entertainment people would use religion figure like pu azman to make illegal things legal. You know what i mean. For example, the fact that tuan fadil character that turn head over heels with lola, seem not suitable for a person that we know must take care of his ikhtilat.maybe one would say "there, pu azman is doing dating scene. So it means dating is halal". I am afraid that some of his action might mislead viewer who have little knowledge about islam.
3. Putri hijab style, and her outfit seem cute but to be honest, it is not syariah compliance. Often, the outfit seem to show her body shape and the hijab itself cannot cover the 'important part' to be covered. Well, to all BBNU, that kind of hijab style is not new. Back in 2005,2006 Bienda had that style. And during that time, i remember how my ustazah said that the style is not syariah compliance because you are treating the hijab like hair. The hijab suppose to cover the hair and some part of body, not giving a view about how a woman hair look like. You can google hijab style that prohibited by islam.
5. Maybe this is only me but...ben amir..can you stop being shirtless? I really have problem seing his nightmare scene because of that.
6.second ending is more to fairytale ending. Happily ever after. But as the viewer had seen the sad ending first, we already feels depressed. So yes, i dont dont the second ending as it give me much pressure than the first one. Seriously if you want to counter back the pressure from the first ending, please wrap it properly. I dont know, showing they are having a wedding with a horse maybe.
Last, for god sake, if the second happy ending means you have to repeat 55 minutes scene again (from the first ending), it is really cruel. Yes, i am not saying it is wrong, but it do make me angry. Grr
Heyyyy i did write full in english. Although i did write malay word like manja because i forget the word in english.
And whoever did accuse me for being a maniac or fanatic, well do write a post like this to prove that. Watching drama especially malay drama does not mean you are less cool or you are wasting your time. For everything you do, you believe, you must analyse and not just jump to conclusion.
Thats the statistician in me talking
