of drama and such

salam.greetings.

I never know I will hook up with other drama not so long after 'aku yang kau tinggalkan'. For months I have been rewatching 'teman lelaki upahan' and 'aku yang kau tinggalkan' like a crazy person. and been stalking ungku ismail like a die hard fan.

then booyah one day i come across a drama poster. sweet dreams. a novel adaptation.
by acik lana who also write playboy itu suami aku. you know i have an allergy over everything that related to fatah amin, so kinda want to pass this drama.

but...

shit.

ben amir happen. his hair happen. i was like a bit starstruck.

ok so i never watch his movie, drama or what so ever. i dont know him. and i accidentally watch 'hajah bakhiliah' because there is ungku ismail there. he is just a minor character so i skip most of his part. cruel, yes i know. but ungku ismail character in that telemovie is not one of his best character so fair enough to say i dont really like the telemovie itself. then at the credit, i saw ben amir name. so i was like 'hei...this is the handsome cool guy from the sweet dreams poster'.

so i stalk him. haha. psycho isn't? i just getting curious of him and excited after watching the drama trailer. i mean, mira filzah character is a cute girl type, ben amir's character is a cool guy and there is one cute oppa which later i knew him as seanlje.

i am not a die-hard fan of mira filzah, but her performance in some drama and telemovie is quite interesting. i remember write a post about telemovie 'abang beduk' here and so adore with her soft and adorable character. i like her in 'lelaki kiriman tuhan' and also 'duit kahwin'. to conclude, she not only an eye candy but at least all her performance is not awkward. and no, i don't really into her 'love story' with zizan like anyone else do.

watching episode 1 and yes, i know i am going to like this drama. i know some of the dialogue a bit pretentious but i like the attempt of not being a cliche story. like in the first episode, i know the lead is not as spontaneous as ungku ismail, but i like how he controls the vibe of being a cool guy. he doesn't seem too pretentious nor too confident. and of course full mark on his appearance. especially the hair @.@

oh i wont post his pic here. just go to my ig page.

the storyline is a bit different from the novel, which i can't really tell which one better because i did not read it yet. it is full of the surprise element, from the identical character of Kamal and the rapist to (till today) the make up of Love Actually scene. I dont know if it is actually written in the book or not. i love some of the sarcasm dialogue about the typical malay drama and social issue, i think the screenwriter really did a great job.

although at first, i have some issue over mira filzah outfit but i am glad she is taking the initiatives to improve it by only wearing skinny tight with a long huge skirt. and like always, i seriously not really favor that kind of tudung, but again, i can see mira taking effort to cover her aurat as perfect as she can.

i mean, this is the entertainment industry. that's why the older generation does not really like if their daughter to enter the industry. being an actress is fine, moreover, she always takes a role that not effecting her aurat or ikhtilat between man and woman. as long as i know la, correct me if i am wrong.

the thing is, as i grow up, i learn to be tolerant not because i am agreeing with the wrong action. but i am being tolerant because i dont want to create a mess because this aurat issue have their own argument based on different situation. you dont expect a celebrity or anyone in the entertainment industry to wear like a student from UIA or Al Azhar. Yes, there is celebrity wear full syariah like fynn jamal, mizz nina and natasha hudson but usually they are in the late 30 or early 40. they have their own ups and down, good and bad moment already. it is normal for someone who at the peaks of their 20 to make mistake or still in a not-so-good character.

i am not going to judge mira's changes from a girl who wear long hijab to someone who wear turban is a bad action. yes, wearing turban expose some of the body part that can create fitnah, although many people come up with their own argument to defend it. that action is unacceptable, not the person who did it. i am okay with mira or anyone who choose to wear non-syariah attire, but to be honest i will not becoming their fan or whatsoever. i unfollow vivy yusof for the same reason, but it does not mean i dont like her.i still peek at her post sometimes because she is funny and aspiring. i just want to take initiatives to show her, even if she not realising it, that i dont agree with her attire preference. at least for someone who wears hijab. and yes, i dont like a person neglecting hijab after they wore it because of some personal issue.

it is not the same case with woman celebrity who don't wear hijab. i do find some celebrity who don't wear hijab but have some kindness and a few good characters that make me curious about why she not choosing to wear syarie attire. for example siti elizad. like anyone else, i am quite disliking her at first because she is free hair and such. but when i read about her sacrifices to take care of her sick mother for years, i found she has a very good daughter character.

at least when you see someone doing the wrong thing, see her/him with a good impression. i am not defending anyone here, not mira nor siti elizad or anyone that seem to be my favourite in this entry.

i like sweet dreams drama over any religious drama because i like it. that does not mean i dont like religious drama (read my post on how i spend days and weeks watching para pencari tuhan and kiamat sudah dekat). i am not glorify the entertainment industry because i know how shit it can be but i am happy to see even one person in the industry try to bring a good vibe, contribution to the society. i am much happier of one change her/himself for a better, regardless he/she is a celebrity or not, because i am doing the same thing.

so what is your point actually?

my point is, for everything that you like or dislike, you have to think on both good and bad side. i know i seem too obsessed with the drama, but it does not mean i agreed with everything bad and good in that drama.

i like ben amir hair and qash adam character, but i really cant stand if he is shirtless or whispering too close with mira filzah. halal gap bro!

i like mira filzah and putri character but does not mean i agree with all the exaggerated cute reaction in that drama. serious, man can take it on the wrong side, you have to be careful.

i like how michael ang attempt to spread dakwah by few scene with karl character but i dislike how he mention he did curse at the actors yusof bahrain and nadsally. dont easily hurting other person is my point (yes, i know he will arguing this but whatever).

somehow, all this craziness will end. trust me. so right now, just endure it.

sincerely, me (the drama queen but in introvert version)
